As reported by Banco BTG Pactual, its portfolio underwent significant changes during the second quarter of 2026, reflecting strategic adjustments across various sectors. The total portfolio value stood at approximately $728 million as of June 30th.

Major Purchases: Boosting US Equities and Specific International Stocks

Banco BTG Pactual demonstrated a strong focus on increasing its exposure to prominent US equity funds during Q2. The fund significantly boosted its position in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), acquiring an additional 23,600 shares representing a nearly 34% increase from the previous quarter.

Furthermore, the investor substantially increased holdings in several Vanguard and iShares exchange-traded funds. The position in VANGUARD INDEX FDS (VOO) grew by over 18%, adding approximately 10,966 shares to its existing stake of nearly 71,000 shares.

Notably, the fund also significantly expanded its position in iShares emerging market equity funds. The holdings in ISHARES INC (EWZ) increased by almost 48%, acquiring over 364,000 additional shares during the quarter.

In addition to ETFs, Banco BTG Pactual made substantial purchases of individual stocks with significant weightings in their portfolio. They acquired a large stake in GRUPO CIBEST SA (40090E106), increasing holdings by nearly 289% through the purchase of over 240,000 shares.

Strategic Sales and Portfolio Rebalancing

The second quarter also saw Banco BTG Pactual strategically reducing its positions in certain areas. The investor sold off a considerable portion of their holdings in TESLA INC (TSLA), decreasing the stake by nearly 48% through share reduction.

Conversely, they maintained and even slightly increased exposure to some high-growth sectors like Technology with BROADCOM INC (AVGO) showing only a modest increase of about 0.26%, though their overall portfolio allocation for this sector remained healthy at nearly 9%.

New Positions and Minor Adjustments

While the bulk of changes involved adjustments to existing holdings, Banco BTG Pactual also initiated new positions during Q2. The investor established a small but notable position in ALIBABA GROUP HLDG LTD (BABA), acquiring just over 500 shares.

In terms of sector allocation shifts, the portfolio saw an increase in exposure to Utilities and Financial Services sectors beyond their typical allocations. This was driven by purchases like ENEL CHILE SA (ENIC) which increased holdings significantly through share acquisition.
