HSBC Holdings Plc Investment Changes in Q3 2026

As of June 30, 2026, HSBC Holdings Plc managed a substantial portfolio valued at approximately $206.5 billion.

The bank demonstrated significant buying activity during the quarter, most notably increasing its stake in NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) by over 24 million shares and boosting Apple Inc.'s (AAPL) position by nearly 2.8 million shares. These additions reflect a continued focus on major Technology names.

Other noteworthy purchases included significant increases in positions like KLA Corp (KLAC), Marvel Technologies (MRVL), Booking Holdings (BKNG), AT&T (T), and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD). HSBC also acquired substantial stakes in SPGI, IVV, ISHARES TR (ILF) - though the latter two are index funds.

In contrast to these buys, HSBC divested from several positions during Q3 2026. Shares of Sirsi Inc (SIRI), iShares Core Dividend Yield Bond ETF (LQD), Ennis, Inc (EWP), and SNDK saw reductions in the bank's holdings.

HSBC also initiated new positions with stocks like GEO Group Inc (GEO) and VNET Group Inc (VNET). Conversely, it completely exited its position in WIX Com Ltd (WIX).

The overall portfolio allocation shows Technology as a primary sector at 36.48%, followed closely by Financial Services (10.29%), Communication Services (9.51%), and Consumer Cyclical (9.43%). HSBC's investment strategy this quarter involved both strengthening existing positions in key sectors like Technology and diversifying into new areas.
