Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Q2 Portfolio Shifts: Key Buys and Sells Revealed

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway saw a slight increase in its total portfolio value as of June 30, 2026. The conglomerate maintained its largest positions in Apple Inc. (AAPL), American Express Co. (AXP), and Coca-Cola Co. (KO) while making strategic adjustments elsewhere.

Buffett's investment strategy appears focused on stability for core holdings while seeking growth opportunities where they exist. Holdings like Alphabet Inc.'s GOOGL and GOOG, which are part of the Communication Services sector, showed significant positive changes this quarter, indicating Buffett's confidence in these tech giants' prospects.

Specifically, Berkshire Hathaway increased its stake in Bank of America Corp. (BAC) by 43.99 million shares, representing a substantial 658.35% increase from the previous period and adding significantly to its Financial Services allocation. Similarly, Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) saw an addition of 17.51 million new shares, boosting its position in the Industrials sector.

On the other side of the portfolio, Buffett divested from several holdings this quarter. Capital One Financial Corp. (COF), Nucor Corp. (NUE), and D.R. Horton Inc. (DHI) all experienced notable reductions or exits in their Berkshire Hathaway stake. These actions suggest a strategic rebalancing away from certain sectors or specific companies.

Buffett also added to his position in Chubb Limited (CB), increasing its share count by 5.89%, and maintained exposure to Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) despite the significant increase, which now accounts for a large portion of its Communication Services allocation.

In contrast, holdings like Ally Financial Inc. (ALLY) saw only minor changes, while others such as Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY), Delta Air Lines (DAL), and Kruger Co. (KR) maintained their allocations but represent smaller percentages of the overall portfolio (OXY, DAL, and KR). The portfolio's sector distribution remains dominated by Financial Services, Technology, and Consumer Defensive stocks.
